About this campaign

A cat recovering from an injury cannot heal on an empty stomach. Neither can a kitten who lost her mother, or an old cat who can no longer hunt. For every cat in Ujala's care, good food every day is the most basic medicine there is.

Right now we care for 35+ rescued cats at our shelter near Lohawat. Some are recovering from accidents and infections. Some are kittens too young to eat on their own. Others are older or disabled cats who will live with us for the rest of their lives. Every one of them needs to be fed, every day, without fail.

Cats need more than leftovers. They need proper cat food with enough protein to rebuild strength, and kittens need special milk replacer to grow. Sick cats often need soft, easy-to-eat food before they can manage anything else. Clean water matters just as much, especially in the Rajasthan heat.

Feeding all of them adds up to about 75000 a month, and it's the one cost we can never skip. When food runs short, recovery slows, kittens weaken, and cats fall sick again.

This campaign keeps our cats fed for the next 23months. Your donation buys cat food, kitten milk, and the bowls of fresh water that keep them healthy and growing.

A full bowl is how every recovery starts. Help us make sure every rescued cat at Ujala gets one, every single day.

    Questions

How many cats are you feeding?

About 55 rescued cats at Ujala's shelter, plus kittens as they arrive.

    What do the cats eat?

Proper cat food, kitten milk replacer for young kittens, and soft food for cats who are recovering.

How long will the funds last?

This goal covers food for about 3 months.

Can I sponsor one cat's food every month?

Yes. Choose ₹1,000 as a monthly gift to cover one cat's food.

How much of my donation reaches Ujala Cat Home?

Nothing is added to what you pay. The payment gateway’s fee, the platform fee and GST are deducted before the money is paid out, and the fees page shows the exact arithmetic on a ₹1,000 gift.

Will I get a tax receipt?

A PAN and full address are required for an 80G certificate. Without them your donation still reaches the organisation, but no certificate can be issued.

    Can I get a refund?

A duplicate payment, our error, or a campaign found fraudulent before payout is refunded to the payment method you used. A change of mind is not refunded as a rule — a donation is not a purchase. The refund policy goes through each case.

How do I know this is genuine?

Every organisation raising here has its registration and PAN checked before a campaign can open, and its bank account verified before any money is paid out. It cannot draw funds again until it has published what the last withdrawal paid for. What the checks cover — and what they do not.

Can I give every month instead?

Yes. A monthly gift goes to Ujala Cat Home and carries on after this campaign ends. You can stop it at any time from your account. How monthly giving works.
